Building a Spiritual House

Hebrews 3:3-4, 6, “For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God…But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.”

Have you ever looked upon yourself as a Spiritual House that God is building? Have you ever thought of how important are God’s Words to “grow in Grace,” “study to show thyself approved unto God,” “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another…,”and “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”

It does us good to consider what “floor” we are currently on. The groundwork prepared for the foundation? The foundation? The first floor? The second floor? Perhaps a third floor? Or, the attic…ready to step into Heaven a perfect (complete) Saint?

It does us good to know this work is going on with God.
