Who is the only One who can "pull down strongholds, cast down imaginations, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)? GOD. And "resist the devil" (James 4:7). GOD, doing it for us.
Remember, ALL Spiritual instructions in the Holy Scriptures are for Holy Spirit IN us.
Many go around trying to:
"bind" up Satan
saying, "I rebuke you, devil"
"claim" some sort of freedom
"claim" some spiritual victory by just proclaiming it
What is their testimony of finding lasting FREEDOM?
In Matthew 4:10, Jesus tells Satan to "get thee hence.
In Revelation 12:7-9; 20:1-3, it is clear that Michael the archangel led in binding and casting Satan out.
Jude 1:9 is OUR guideline: "Michael...said, 'The Lord rebuke thee.'"
Therefore, freedom is OF God. Not anything we do. To Him we can cry out and ask for His healing, freedom, and deliverance from the carnal mind, destructive emotions, and unwise decisions...any place we have given to the devil.
Here is a pattern that can help...ask God to help us:
make a list of any place/ground we have lost that needs to be healed and/or restored to God.
make a list of anyone who has hurt us that we need to forgive.
make a list of any damaged emotions that hinder our fellowship with God and anyone.
cry out to God for His healing, freedom, and restoration.
God wants to MAKE us FREE. God wants to heal us Spiritually. God is waiting for us to CRY OUT TO HIM.
