Definitions

Ever give much thought to definitions? Where they come from? Who decided them?

Definitions identify what something/someone IS, or their MEANING. When it comes to Scriptural words, would you rather believe an identification (is/meaning) that some person came up with in recent years, or years ago (maybe 100+) OR the parabolic meaning God said from Eternity past?

This first means we must have the correct language word that has been translated. And, the definition it was originally given (or, oldest known). We all know the world (someone) is constantly changing the meanings of words.

To believe is to know & trust.

Faith. God tells us exactly what Faith IS. Galatians 5:22 tells us Faith IS Fruit of Holy Spirit. Fruit is the ultimate manifestation of the life of the source. Spiritual Fruit = Life, the Life of God. Other verses describe what Faith DOES.

Do you recall that Jesus told us in John 6:63, My words are Spirit, and they are Life. Life is always the focal point of the words of God. His Life. In the key words of Scripture, IF the definition doesn’t point to the Life of God, look elsewhere!

What is the devil’s focal point? Yea, hath God said? Dishonest, deception, detour. Lies vs Truth. Different meanings, perhaps different words. The devil’s words always point to humanism…man is god.

Who are we going to BELIEVE?
