“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

“…that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you…” 1 Peter 3:15

Evangelism is telling someone about the saving Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is giving witness of the Gospel of Christ. Scripture is filled with admonishments for Saints to be witnesses of salvation as with other Truth. In fact, salvation and the indwelling of the Mind of God precedes anyone from knowing Spiritual Truth.

God’s words, be ready always, should give us the prompting to be adequately prepared to proclaim the Gospel and God’s Way of salvation to all and to give an effective witness. Every Saint an evangelist. This is not the same as the call to being a full time evangelist.
