Galatians 5:25, If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Live & Walk. We know the Word of God has specific meanings and uses of all His words.
Live – Greek zao. Zao can speak of a lifetime, or a quickening (pass one’s life). Living in the Spirit is experiencing the Supernatural Life of God all Saints possess. Yes, that Living can be quenched or grieved, but it is still there.
Walk – Greek stoikeo. A particular word speaking of marching, conforming, experiencing. Another Greek word, peripateo, is more commonly used in the New Testament. It speaks of being occupied with as one walks about. The only way for a Saint to stoikeo is to be allowing Holy Spirit to Live His Life through the earthsuit. This is a parabolic saying that must be understood correctly.
Therefore, God tells us since we Live in the Spirit, we should also Walk in the Spirit…Spirit-filled. How do we know that we are? Is our walk done with fleshly efforts, or is the Life of God experienced effortlessly? Is there something that used to be in our life that was of the flesh, but by no effort of ours it is not there now? Holy Spirit has removed it.
