Salvation

Salvation is explicitly a New Supernatural Spiritual Birth/New Creation of a New Spiritual Life. Jesus said so, John 3:1-8. Paul said so, 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Several verses speak of this New Birth/New Creation. John 1:13; 1 Peter1:23; 1 John 2:29, 3:9, 4:7, 5:1, 5:4; 5:18; Ephesians 2:10, 4:24; Galatians 6:15. A New Life (the Life of God) is born/created in a former sinner who has become a Saint. The old spiritual life (old spiritual man) is removed. We must remember that when Scripture says “old life” or “old man” God is speaking of that which is spiritual.
Other verses that seemingly speak of “works” for salvation are parabolic (Truth hidden – Matthew 13:10-17, 34-35). Unfortunately, Saints can be kept in the dark and detoured from Truth by the carnal mind. An example is: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Check out the list of “doers” in these two verses. How many have wondered about, or doubted, their salvation because they have “done” some of these things. Yet, have they not read v. 11?
Actions vs birth is not a good comparison for determining one’s salvation.
Salvation is never about our doing, or not doing. We must remember that, and be alert to the parabolic verses that seem to speak otherwise.
