Spiritual vs Physical crucifixion

Ever since I was Born Again back in 1980, and began to dig into the Scriptures…and ask questions…one that I never got a satisfying answer to was this: HOW was I crucified on the cross with Jesus? That was what I was told happened when I trusted in Jesus to be my personal Savior and my sins were washed away by His blood. Some called it an allegory or metaphor.

I didn’t know anything about 2 spiritual minds at that time around how they worked.

Later God revealed Truth to me. My old man (Adam nature, Adam life) was spiritually crucified, not physically crucified. The Adamic sinful spirit was crucified and removed. It was a spiritual crucifixion. No blood shed, but a spiritual action.

Jesus died a physical crucifixion, on a physical cross, shedding His blood (physically) for our sin. Being our propitiation for sin. But, sinners do not go to a physical cross to become a Saint. This in no way takes away from Jesus’ death and payment for sin. God’s Spiritual way of enacting the Born Again New Birth is a spiritual crucifixion and new creation.

Now I can see, grasp, and receive this Truth and enjoy HOW I became a Saint.. And it reminds me of all that God enacts Spiritually (through Holy Spirit) in my Life as a Saint.

As a Saint I do not go to the Cross for Life, but to God and His Life in me. The Saving Life of Christ.
