The ABIDING LIFE is an eternal life. It begins at the Exchanged Life and will continue forever. Why? Because the word abiding is translated from the Greek meno, meaning to remain. Since the Exchanged Life is the Life of God exchanged with the sin life at salvation, His Life is eternal. And His Supernatural Spiritual Life is immediately the Spiritual Life of a Saint. Hence, eternal. Hence, remains…forever.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me…Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
except it abide in the vine…
I am the vine, ye are the branches.
John 15:1, 4-5
The Abiding Life could well be called the Branch Life. Branches on The Vine where the Spiritual Life of God flows through a Saint to produce Spiritual Fruit. God is speaking of Heavenly Truth with Heavenly meaning using an earthly illustration.
Abiding is actually, being. Being a Saint is eternal, remaining. Being a part of the family of God in Christ. A Saint always abides in God. Once in God’s Family, a Saint we can never not be a part of His Family.
The Abiding Life of a Saint is all about being attached to The Vine, and the Life of The Vine flowing through the Saint. It is Holy Spirit flowing from within to be experienced in our earthsuit. Rejoice in the Truth that you are abiding!
