God’s Word for His people Post-Pentecost is SAINTS. Individually, a Saint. The multitude, Saints. And in Post-Pentecost days, the Saints’ gatherings in various places were called The Church at __________. It was God’s plan for His Saints to gather together to edify and encourage one another…and to go out to evangelize.
1 Corinthians 1:2, 2 Corinthians 1:1, and Galatians 1:2 speak directly of the gathering of Saints in these places as “the church.” And around another 75 times speaking generally of the gatherings. The Greek word for “church” is ekklesia, the called out ones, or community of members/Saints on earth.
To edify one another, to be of one Mind and one accord (Romans 14:19; Philippians 2:2). To make more knowledgeable and stronger Believers. Help one another to Grow in Grace.
To encourage and exhort one another (Hebrews 10:25). Gathering together is one key way for Saints to continue with God, to not give up due to difficult circumstances or people.
Saints can gather at a building (the building is not “the church”), in homes, in the woods…wherever two or more Believers are present. All of the above should lead to the Saints at __________ going out to give witness of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to Lost sinners. And seeing souls being added to “the church” such as should be saved (Born Again). Amen.
