In Hebrews 10:23-25, we see some of the most precious words of encouragement to all Believers. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering…exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
The word “wavering” describes someone who is not standing firm in their faith. In James 1:6 it describes a person double-minded, flip-flopping from believing to not believing.
God is the One who has made promises He will keep. He is faithful.
But look at the things Saints gather together to do: consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. The book of 1 John has much to say about the love of one another. Ephesians 2:10 tells us “we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…” Saints are to not fail to get together with one another, to exhort and encourage one another. “And so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
What day is that? The day the Lord comes to gather all His Saints together with Him. That day is known to many as The Rapture. And then there is another “day.” That day is when the end of time on earth comes, and all Saints are with God in the New Jerusalem and New Earth (Revelation 21:1).
Encourage one another with these words.
