HOPE. One of the most exciting words in Scripture, but not as we typically think of it. It is not wishing it would be. It is not wanting it to be. It is not desperately waiting to see if it will come to pass. It is expecting it to be.
The Greek for hope in every appearance in the N.T. is elpis/elpizo. To anticipate, to expect…tied to the Life of God. Full of confidence. It is the desire of something with expectation of obtaining it, based on Truth & the promises of God. The Life of God cannot fail. He will always produce what He has declared and promised.
Scriptural hoping is counting on God to do something. We experience God when we Live in Scriptural Spiritual hope. Meditate on Romans 5:1-2,5; 15:4,13; 1 Peter 1:3, 21; 1 Thessalonians 5:8-10; Titus 1:1-2; 2:13; 3:3-7; Colossians 1:25-27; 1 John 3:1-3. See that Scriptural Spiritual hope come alive in your Holy Soul.
