we are the house of God

How often do we Saints think of ourselves as "the house of God"? A handful of times God tells us that is exactly who we are. One in particular is Hebrews 3:6, "But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we..."

God also tells us how important it is that a house be built on a good foundation. Christianity has the best - the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God through the Spirit." Ephesians 3:19-22

If your spiritual house is not built on Jesus, you have some major cracks of a false foundation that will not hold up over the years.
