What Is Eternal Life?

And this is life eternal, that they might

know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ,

whom thou hast sent.

John 17:3

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God

is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23

…our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

For the life was manifested, and we have seen it,

and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life,

which was with the Father, and was manifested to us.

1 John 1:1-2

And this is the record, that God hath given unto us

eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

He that hath the Son hath life, and that hath not

the Son of God hath not life.

These things have I written unto you that believe

on the name of the Son of God; that ye might know

that ye have eternal life, and that ye might believe

on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 5:11-13

The Parabolic Holy Scriptures declare Eternal Life to be a Person. That Person being the Lord Jesus Christ. Every Saint at salvation becomes the recipient of Eternal Life.

The very Name Jesus means Savior, salvation. The Greek Iesous. Eternal Life is not a state of being, but a Being. Not a way of life, but Life.
