Romans 8:35-39, look at the list of things God says are not able to separate us from His LOVE.
· death
· life
· angels
· principalities
· powers
· things present
· things to come
· height
· depth
· any other creature
A magnificent and totally encompassing list. WHY is this? God’s LOVE is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Who is in us and we in Him.
The greatest magnificence lies in what the Love of God (Gr: agape) truthfully IS. First, it is a Fruit of Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22). An ultimate manifestation of the Life of God.
Fruit = life.
God’s Love = God’s Life.
God is (=) Love. (1 John 4:8)
Think about it…there can be no separation of God from His LOVE. They are one and the same. No separation of the Life of God from His LOVE. Therefore, substitute “the Life of God” for each time “the Love of God” is mentioned in the Holy Scriptures. Interchangeable. Truth. Including here in Romans 8.
Now think…nothing in vs. 35-39 can separate us (a Saint) from the Life of God (in us). Amen.
Sin does not/cannot separate any Saint from the relationship (being one of God’s children) and LOVE Saints have with God. Sin only separates from fellowship with God. And as 1 John 1:9 says, confess our sin…fellowship restored. God’s Life. God’s Freedom. God’s Power. God’s Way.
